Garnier Sunscreen Spray Made Me Look Like I Just Ran a Marathon
The Reality of Garnier’s Sunscreen Spray: A Sweaty
Mess
Sunscreen is one of those non-negotiables in a skincare routine — especially during peak summer. When I saw the Garnier Sunscreen Spray, I thought I had found the perfect travel-friendly, easy-to-use sun protector. But after using it for a few days, I have to say: it left me looking more sweaty than sun-kissed.
☀️ What I Was Hoping For
I had high hopes. I imagined a light, breathable mist that would give me sun protection without the greasy, heavy feel that some creams leave behind. I wanted something that could be re-applied throughout the day without messing up my look.
π¦ What Actually Happened
The
moment I sprayed it on, I noticed the shine. At first, I thought it was
just a dewy finish — nothing too bad. But as the day went on, my face started
looking more and more sweaty. Not glowing. Not fresh. Just... sweaty.
- It never really absorbed
into the skin.
- My face looked like I had
been out in the sun for hours, even if I had just stepped out.
- It felt sticky to the touch,
and people even asked me if I was hot or tired — not a good sign!
Even worse, when I wore it over makeup, it made my foundation look patchy and greasy. It basically melted everything off my face.
πΏ What Could’ve Been Better
While I appreciate the spray format and the SPF protection, the formula just isn’t right for everyday wear — especially in hot and humid climates like India. If you already have oily or combination skin, this spray might amplify the shine in all the wrong ways.
Verdict: Not For Me
Sadly, Garnier
Sunscreen Spray didn’t work for me. Instead of a fresh, protected look, it
left me feeling sticky, shiny, and like I had been sweating all day. I’ll be
sticking to my matte-finish sunscreen gels or creams from now on.
Have You Tried It?
If you’ve
used this spray and had a better experience, I’d love to hear about it! Every
skin is different, and what didn’t work for me might work for you.
